Mother's Day at The Beach

Mother's Day was a wonderful fun filled day with family and friends. Mom and my brothers came over for lunch, then we spent the afternoon at the beach.
This was Coreyn's first time at the beach and she was fearless. I thought she might be frightened, but she waited patiently and sat safely. She even had the beauty queen wave down as the rides went around.
Emma was excited to be able to go on "the big rides." This is the first time she was tall enough. It really made her feel like a "big girl" going off with her uncles to ride the roller coasters.

Fall Campfire Carry-In and Campout
Corey, Emma and I really love to go camping and had wanted to do it this fall, but with Coreyn being so little we just decided to have a campout at our house and invite anyone who wanted to join us.
We started it off with a campfire carry-in, we made campfire chili and everyone brought something to go along with it. It was supposed to be actually cooked over the campfire but the big pot we had did not fit on the tri pod...so we said it was campfire chili because we were eating it by the campfire...the kids bought it anyway.
We also had hayrides, a scavenger hunt, campfire songs and of course somores. Everyone had a great time, especially the kids. For those brave souls (it was really cold that night) that decided to camp out overnight we had our tee pee and two tents set up.
Those that were in the tee pee stayed pretty warm though because Corey decided to put a heater in it that night. I know that sounds pretty weird, but they stayed warm! The next morning we had a campfire breakfast using our pudgy pie makers. Everyone had a great time, especially the kids!

Floaters
It seems whenever you bath puppies or babies you invariably end up with floaters...and I am not talking about rubber duckies.
It finally happened with Coreyn the other night. Corey and Emma were at soccer practice the phone was ringing and Coreyn decided to make some friends for ducky.
First I tried scooping the new friends out of the baby bath I had sitting in the tub, then realized it would be easier to just dump the bath water in the toilet.
So, I put Coreyn in the regular tub, at which point she continued to make more friends...I think it is time for the potty chair.
